Starting in October, Jala Ambassador Jen McNally will be teaching a Kundalini class every week at our Jala Store. Her class will be from 6-8:30 pm on Wednesday nights, $17 per class or you may purchase a 5 pack for $75. Jen is also currently teaching a free Sadhana class from 5:30-7 am on Thursday mornings.
Kundalini Yoga is a school of yoga that focuses on the expansion of sensory awareness and intuition in order to raise individual consciousness. It is a highly intuitive and mindful practice that opens one's heart and both physically and spiritually builds strength within one's body. It can involve everything from jumping to dancing, from chanting to deep breathing techniques, but is much worth it due to it's powerful stress reduction and body aligning techniques.
Yogi Bhajan describes Kundalini Yoga as active and passive asana-based kriyas, pranayama, and meditation which target the whole body system (nervous system, glands, mental faculties, chakras) to develop awareness, consciousness, and spiritual strength.
